November's PIG: Building an IT PRO Lab with Adam Bell - Windows to Go with Andrew McMurray

Adam Bell

With Microsofts new annual release cadence for many of its products, now more than ever an IT pro needs a development lab to test in. You need to be able to build, fast, easily and it has to be repeatable, but how to do it? Two popular solutions out of Microsoft are Hydration based on the MDT, and the PowerShell Deployment Toolkit (PDT). Adam will touch on the strengths of both solutions and share a hybrid solution for rapid lab management on your Hyper-V platform.

Andrew McMurray

Windows To Go is an enterprise feature of Windows® 8 and Windows 8.1 that enables the creation of a Windows To Go workspace that can be booted from a USB-connected external drive on PCs that meet the Windows 7 or later certification requirements, regardless of the operating system running on the PC. Windows To Go workspaces can use the same image enterprises use for their desktops and laptops and can be managed the same way. Windows To Go is not intended to replace desktops, laptops or supplant other mobility offerings. Rather, it provides support for efficient use of resources for alternative workplace scenarios.   This session will introduce you to Windows To Go and demonstrate how to Provision and use this exciting Technology.

We're going to have some networking and drinks before we kick off the sessions so we hope you can make it.
